Frank P. Iuorno, Jr., DDS, MS
Dr. Iuorno earned his Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science degree in 1990 from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, close to where he grew up. He received his DDS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994 and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
After dental school, Dr. Iuorno completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester New York. He moved to Richmond in 1995 and completed a unique combination of residencies at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning certification in both Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2000) and Orthodontics (2002), and making him uniquely qualified to treat complex cases. He received his Master of Science degree in 2002.
Dr. Iuorno teaches at VCU School of Dentistry and also donates his time as an oral surgeon at the Goochland Free Clinic. One of his passions is the treatment of children with special needs like cleft lip and palate. He is a founding member of The Cleft and Craniofacial Team at St. Mary’s.
If you look up Dr. Iuorno in the phone book, you may find his brother Joe or his wife Maria. Dr. Joe Iuorno practices ophthalmology in the West End and Dr. Maria Iuorno is an endocrinologist with Virginia Diabetes and Endocrinology in the West End.
Marty is one of WEO’s finest assets. She is the office manager and our insurance coordinator. She is also an orthodontic assistant! Her sparkling personality and warm smile are always remembered as people often ask for her by name years after treatment. Come visit and Marty will be there.
Tadiana came to West End Orthodontics from Colombia, South America. She was originally trained as a dentist in Columbia. She has more than 10 years of experience working as an orthodontic assistant at WEO. We are proud to have another, perhaps over-qualified, orthodontic assistant. In her spare time, Tadiana likes to spend time with her son Gabriel and her husband David.
Lisa seems to be well-known throughout the West End! She is coming back to work after raising two boys and we are delighted that she chose to come to work for us. Lisa shares time with Nanette at the front desk so you’re sure to get to know her throughout treatment. Ask about her Pennsylvania roots and it‘s likely that you’ll come up with a mutual friend soon enough.
Kimberly joined our team in 2012, after having worked in general dentistry for 9 years. She enjoys working in the orthodontic field because it gives her the opportunity for more one-on-one time with patients. Kimberly loves watching how much our patients grow during their treatment and seeing the confidence they have with their new smiles! When she isn’t at work, she loves spending time with her husband C.J., chasing after their young twin daughters, Jera and Charlotte, and being very proud of her son, Benjamin, who is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force.
It’s always nice to have a reliably friendly voice on the other end of the phone or across the counter, and Nanette never disappoints. Nanette has had several years of experience in dental and medical practices throughout Virginia. She is always courteous and truly enjoys her time here at WEO. We are lucky to have her help, even if it’s only part-time, and look forward to each day she’s with us.
The newest, and youngest, member of the WEO team came to us straight from her training program in dental assisting. Megan brings with her a hospitable smile and nurturing disposition that makes her a perfect fit for the WEO team. Outside of work, Megan enjoys country music, cooking vegetables, hunting, fishing, and taking care of the farm. Between her and her husband, they care for 18 dogs, 2 pigs, 6 chickens, 1 turkey, and a partridge in a pear tree.
