How much is the initial visit?
The initial consult is free!! As soon as you arrive at WEO, you'll begin entering data to start your orthodontic record at one of our patient computer stations. In the treatment area, Dr. Iuorno will complete an intra- and extra-oral exam, determine viable treatment options and discuss a plan for correcting your bite. Our goal is that you have a basic understanding of your malocclusion and treatment options. You will leave with a written breakdown of the fee schedule for your reference. Marty will follow up with your insurance company to determine the amount of benefit you can expect. This appointment takes about 15-30 minutes. What are the office hours?
The office is open from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Dr. Iuorno sees patients on every day but Monday. For your convenience, we open the office at 7am on Wednesday during the school year and stay late on Thursday's until 6pm.- To Top -
At what age should my child have his/her first appointment?
Your general or pediatric dentist will suggest you visit our office when there's a problem with the bite. This is usually around 8-10 years of age. Dr. Iuorno typically begins treatment when nearly all the permanent teeth have erupted; however, there are cases where early treatment is recommended. Therefore, we recommend a visit to our office as soon as you recognize a need for treatment. Having an early orthodontic checkup is worth the time and ... the consultation is free!- To Top -
Does WEO take my insurance?
We are listed as a participating provider with Delta Dental. We also file claims with all private insurance companies (benefits are often the same for out-of-network providers). The initial consultation is free! Please remember to bring your insurance card to your appointment. Generally, a referral from your dentist is not required. How often do I have appointments?
Generally, we see patients once every 4-6 weeks. In the beginning of treatment there are typically two appointments. The first is for orthodontic records where digital pictures, digital radiographs and impressions are taken and spacers are placed (approx 30 minutes). One week later, bands are cemented to the molars and braces are placed (approx 45 minutes). If your child requires an expander for treatment, plan on having four appointments one week apart prior to starting the once a month schedule. Adjustment appointments are usually about 15-20 minutes.- To Top -
What do I do in case of emergency?
Once becoming a member of the WEO family, you will be given Dr. Iuorno's cell phone number for after-hours emergencies. If you have any questions throughout your treatment, please do not hesitate to call. During normal business hours, call the office at 364-8366 to schedule an appointment for that day.- To Top -
Can I have treatment as an adult?
Yes. Dr. Iuorno treats children and adults. Dr. Iuorno is a certified Invisalign provider. Clear brackets are routinly placed on the upper front teeth to maximize esthetics while in treatment and invisible retainers may be used where applicable. As a courtesy to our adult patients, we will try to make your appointments in the mornings when the kids are in school.- To Top -
What are invisible braces?
Invisalign (invisible braces), uses a series of clear plastic trays constructed using state of the art digital technology to move teeth. Patients only remove the trays to eat and brush. Every two weeks new trays are provided. Dr. Iuorno is a certified Invisalign provider. For those patients whose tooth position is not amenable to Invisalign, Dr. Iuorno can provide clear brackets instead of metal brackets to maximize your esthetics while in treatment.- To Top -
